08.03. Demonstration Feminist Fight Day

FURIOUS, LOUD, REBELLIOUS – TOGETHER OUT ON MARCH 8!

Further information will be shared here.

13:00, Steingrube

Every day is Feminist Fight Day! On March 8, we will join forces internationally to protest against patriarchy, the shift to the right, and all forms of oppression.

Especially in the current political climate, it is and remains important to take a clear stand and demonstrate. On March 8 in Hildesheim, we want to show that we will not let ourselves be taken away; not our bodies, not our voices, not our future.

Feminism concerns us all! So come angry, come loud, come rebellious — and bring your friends.✊️

There will be different blocks with different themes at the demonstration, so choose the one you feel most comfortable with.

The first block will be a loud FLINTA* (women, lesbians, inter, non-binary, trans, and agender people) block. This will be followed by the Antifa block, the Internationalist block, the Colorful block, the Calm/Family block, and finally the Bicycle block.

To get everyone in the mood, there will be a varied supporting programme with pre-events! We will share more detailed information here and on our website.

07.03. Halay Night 🌟

18:00, Location on request via Instagram

Only open for women and non-binary people.

We want to come together to dance Halay, sing and eat together. Especially in times of crisis, we want to create space for confidence, solidarity and community. On this evening, we will commemorate the fallen revolutionary women, especially Ivana Hoffmann, as 7 March is also the anniversary of her death. Let us fill her memory with life – through solidarity, music and hope. No previous experience is necessary – we will practise the dance steps together.

Please join us, we look forward to seeing you!

06.03. Review of 8 March and Making Placards for the Demonstration

17:00, Prowe (Projektwerkstatt Kufa, Langer Garten 1)

March 8 is every year – also in Hildesheim! But what did the demonstrations of recent years actually look like? What kinds of action existed, which focuses in terms of content were chosen? We want to have a look at photos of recent years‘ highlights, want to reminisce old memories and discuss what from the last years might be taken to the future.

While we do so and afterwards (freshly inspired) placards for the demonstration can be painted.

04.03. Lecture on Transfeminism – Revolutionary Approaches to the Liberation of Trans Women

14:00, Zingel 20

The lecture will be held in German.

The young movement of transfeminism regards the realities of trans women’s life under a revolutionary lens. Transfeminists reject the mainstream focus on identity and validity, on diversity an participation, and instead set their approach on class war and gender liberation. Central here is the subject of the trans woman and how she can attain her necessary place in the women’s movement. In the lecture we want to talk about the basics of transfeminism, about marxist analyses of patriarchy and capitalism, about the problems of mainstream queer politics and about fundamental criticism of queerfeminism. We want to empower trans women, show them their worth, what they’re able to and show approaches how to survive the next years.

‘That’s private’ – a phrase that all too often prolongs suffering. Suffering caused by patriarchy.
Violence within one’s own four walls often begins quietly and without blows. But where exactly is the line? In this workshop, we want to explore what domestic violence is, its consequences for those affected and children present, what options we have for action, and how we can help.

28.02. Movie Night „GAZA FIGHTS FOR FREEDOM“ (english) + Pre-Movie „Palestinian Women“

18:00, Prowe (Projektwerkstatt Kufa, Langer Garten 1)

From 2018 up to 2020, week for week ten thousands of humans gathered in the Gaza Strip for the „Great March of Return“ – non-violent mass demonstrations for their right on returnment and self-determination and against Gaza Strip’s lockdown through the Israeli apartheid state.

„GAZA FIGHTS FOR FREEDOM“ documents this mass movement and discloses the historical continuity of colonialism and expulsion. The movie shows the social breadth of resistance, the organized role of Palestinian women within the movement and leaves us behind with the question: Which option leaves, when every non-violent form of resistance is knocked down?
